Why Electric?
The electric car market is growing quickly, with almost 265,000 models on UK roads at the end of December 2019. The most recent set of figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that plug-in models made up 6.3% of total UK new car registrations, with pure-electric models accounting for 3.3% of that figure – more than 4,900 in total.

Home Charging
For many people, charging your electric vehicle from home will be the primary method of charging. Depending on the type of supply available at your property, most vehicles (75Kwh) will fully recharge overnight, ready to go first thing in the morning.
Most domestic properties will have a single phase supply with a capacity of 60-100 Amps. Depending on the nature of your supply
It is a requirement that installation permission or post notification, subject to equipment supply parameters, is sought from the local District Network Operator (DNO). Vector Projects can liaise with the DNO on your behalf.
Workplace Charging electric vehicle chargers
Many business are now switching their fleets to electric to make the most of taxation benefits & cheaper motoring costs. The UK government has a grant available called the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) that provides up to £500 per vehicle up to a maximum of 20 vehicles for charging infrastructure.
