2023 sees UK based Myenergi releasing its new hybrid solar inverter & battery storage offering to complement its existing product range, with the libbi seamlessly connecting to other Myenergi devices. The Libbi can be used in any of the following senarios;
- A direct replacement for your existing solar pv inverter adding scaleable storage to capture excess solar generation that would normally be lost to the grid, for use later when solar generation decrease or when house loads increase.
- AC Coupled standalone for timeshifting loads from peak rates to lower tariff such as off-peak to reduce costs .
- Optional backup facility to allow the battery to provide power to designated essential circuits in the event of a power cut.

- Hybrid Solar Inverter options are 3.68Kw & 5K
- Modular/scalable by design. Each module can store up to 5kWh of electricity, so combining 4 of them together would provide up to 20kWh of storage.
- Integrates with Myenergi ecosystem.
- AC Coupled standalone battery storage (EESS) providing grid/tariff arbitrage services such as Octopuss Intelligent, essentialy charging at cheaper tariff times & discharging when energy is more expensive.
- Backup/Emergency power supply providing power to critical services in the event of a grid/power failure.
- 10 year battery & 5 year inverter warranty.

Requirements
- Approximately 2sq metres of suitable wall space to accommodate the equipment.
- Battery weight loading capacity from 90kgs to 248kg
- Compliant earthing & bonding in place.
- Access to suitable electriciy supply & distribution equipment.
- G99 permission will be required from your local network operator for generation exceeding 3.68Kw.
- For remote unsupervised locations, the installation of a smoke detector is recomended.
- Wifi connectivity to benefit from remote monitoring & control.
Works with;
- Myenergi offers a suite of products that connect via a common interface, that can be viewed & controlled via a mobile app or a web page.
- Communicates with the Zappi car charger preventing the battery from discharging into the vehicle if required.
- Priorities can be programmed easily with the Eddi water heater proportional diverter.
- Additional current sensors to display 3rd party equipment such as existing PV or EV chargers & other AC connected batteries.
